 Punishment inadequate

Punishment inadequate

11 Sep, 2009 09:56 AM
OUR Supreme Court has handed down a manifestly inadequate sentence for the glassing (stabbing) of Jack at the Memo last year (“Jail for glass attack”, TDT, 28/8/09).

I wonder what the point of having a victim’s impact statement is when the Judge did not appear to me to properly consider the statement or the seriousness of the circumstances.

The real result is one month for nearly killing someone.

I hope the DPP appeals this sentence.
