I was totally shocked that a person can disfigure you both physically and mentally (read Jack’s victim’s impact statement) and in 30 days time he walks out of the College of Knowledge a free man.

To all our politicians, past and present, I hold you all responsible for the pathetic - yes pathetic - legal system we have in the Northern Territory.

Glass assaults occur almost on a weekly basis throughout the NT and we need a mandatory sentencing structure that locks away the cowardly mongrels who do these gutless crimes.

Do the crime, do the time and decent compensation and counselling for the victims.

Any one of us who has a drink after work in a pub or club is a potential victim.
