Thank you for raising your concerns at the last Shire meeting over the recent Letter to the Editor in the Tennant & District Times about the ex-Tennant Creek Town Council’s 2007 Financial Statements.

Just a shame that the response was: “As this was a matter for the previous Town Council, no importance was placed on this article”.

As the Barkly Shire has inherited what is left of the TC Council one could easily presume that the claims made would actually be looked into and upon noticing the flaws the Barkly Shire would then pass on these concerns to the auditor who is currently doing the 2008 audit of the TC Council.
