THE stadium lights at Purkiss Reserve are getting a good workout with an evening Touch Rugby competition each Wednesday.

Eight teams have signed up for the competition which feature both male and female players.

In fact the aim of the competition is to encourage female participation in sports.

High School physical education teacher, Simon ‘Gribbo’ Gribben is running the competition and urges spectators to support local sport in Tennant Creek.

Touch Rugby begins at 6pm with the lights turned on for the 7 o’clock game.
