Master and apprentice meet on the green

14 Aug, 2009 10:16 AM
TWELVE bowlers turned up last weekend for the Open Singles and the two-day event was played in great spirit and great weather.

The Master, Les Pascoe, dug deep into his bag of tricks and proved far too strong for the Apprentice, Jimmy James, winning comfortably 21-12.

The week before, James and Summy got up after the breaker to win the Open Pairs 21-20 from David Webb and Mon Mead.

This week, David, Annie, James, Geoff, Bunny and Mon all travelled to Darwin for the Darwin Open and NT Titles - so good luck all.

If anyone deserves a state cap, David Webb does!

After all he’s been knocking on the door for years.

Social bowls is still on every Tuesday at 7pm and don’t forget the Jackpot Pairs on Saturday evenings.

See you on the green.
