Hashers head to big smoke

31 Jul, 2009 10:15 AM
TENNANT Creek Hashers set out from Martin Court this week.

The run headed out on bush tracks towards the cemetery then turned back towards town for the return leg through various suburban streets.

There were a number of loops and shortcuts to keep the runners and walkers together.

All up the pack was out for about 40 minutes, except for the Hare, who managed to get lost on his own trail and came in last!

Back at the circle there were a number of charges for the Hare and various other indiscretions.

Our mascot, Nyinkka, was absent so it was not able to be passed on.

CBD and Missing Link are off to Darwin for three weeks to attend the Darwin Hash White Dress run (raising funds for the RSPCA) and the Top End Hashers’ 400th run.

Next Monday’s run will be held at the airport terminal and the Hare is Flash.

Start time is 5.30pm. BYO drinks for the circle and nibbles to share.

Hash House Harriers is a social walking and running club for all levels of fitness. Anyone who wants to get some social exercise or is just curious please contact Hublock (DJ) on 0419 402 390.
