The event for the day was a stroke on the back nine and some great golf was played.

Nearest the pin on the 17th was Mozta.

Third on a countback was Doug Townsley with a score of 49/14/35.

If he did not have a perfect wind on the 15th hole he may have came in second place.

Digby Horwood came second with 48/13/35 and the winner was the Sunrise Captain, Bill Daw, who scored 44/13/31.

Bill scored three pars and had chopped his own handicap and will be playing off eight next week.

Next week will be a stableford event on the back nine.

Have a think about this one: Putting makes your score card look good but many putts is bad. However, who cares as long as we are playing golf?
