THE Tennant Creek Pistol Club during April saw a couple of members shoot personal best scores and President John Bertram managed a Grade Break in his favourite match WA1500.
Late in the month the club welcomed new members – Sandy Warby, Wendy Vismans and Tong Galiki – and sadly said goodbye to our bubbly personality, Nicki Djapouras, who hopefully will continue with the sport in Sydney.
With a bit of luck our new members will get their permits to shoot under supervision in the next few weeks and join in the competition.
Results were:
WA1500: John Bertram 1282, Eric Brahim 999. Congratulations to John for his grade break and move up to Sharpshooter grade.
25 Yards Service: John Bertram 479, Eric Brahim 358 and a personal best score.
50 Metre Pistol: Robin Small 432, Jim Cruise 422, Dee Yu 283.
Centre-fire Pistol: Jim Cruise 526, John Bertram 454.
Standard Pistol: Jim Cruise 518, Renato Guartico 447 and a personal best score, Dee Yu 432.
Sport Pistol: Jim Cruise 533, Robin Small 505, Eric Brahim 486 and a personal best score, Dee Yu 466, Nicki Djapouras 374.
This Sunday 3 May will see the club move the starting time to 9am and the matches will be 50-metre Pistol and Standard Pistol.
John Bertram and Jim Cruise will be away at the Arafura Sea Games 9-17 May where they will be working and being tested for Service Matches Range Officers.
They will also compete in several matches.
