The Best Garden in Tennant Creek category will recognise that gardeners in Tennant Creek face different conditions than those of Central Australia, says ABC Gardening presenter, Geoff Miers.

“Tennant Creek gardeners are able to grow a different range of plants especially more tropical varieties than people in Alice Springs and this leads to quite different gardens than those further south,” he said.

The major prize of the competition is the Frank McEllister Memorial Award.
