Locals set to walk the walk

25 Sep, 2009 09:11 AM
LOCALS have taken up the cause of promoting Walk to Work Day.

The annual event is next Friday and is held to encourage Australians to ditch the car and give their legs a workout.

Walking not only benefits one’s health, it helps tackle climate change and reduce global warming by cutting down vehicle emissions.

Tennantites Dave Taylor, Kym Bracken and Megan Rowe laced up their runners and donned official event t-shirts to challenge residents to step up and help themselves and the Earth we live on.
