Blossoming relationship bears gifts for community

09 Apr, 2009 10:53 AM
CHRISTMAS came early for Ali Curung residents when the fruits of newly-formed partnership blossomed last week.

The Sunshine Coast Reconciliation Group in Queensland has formed a sister relationship with the community and sent boxes filled with various gifts for residents.

The relationship was formed through Arlpwe Art Gallery Manager Ian Grieve and his wife Judith, who are friends with the group’s chairperson, Mick Graham.

The goodies included gifts ranging from handmade clothing, toiletry products and various other goods both handmade and new.

Mr Grieve said the Reconciliation Group consisted of community-minded people who wanted to make Australia a better place and the aim was to make a contribution in their own small way.
