SEVENTY-three per cent of assaults in Tennant Creek in the June quarter were alcohol related according to the latest crime and justice figures released this week.

And 65 per cent of the 113 assaults recorded were domestic violence related.

Property offences dropped by 16 per cent and commercial break-ins were reduced by 46 per cent.

The statistics are based on offences recorded in the Northern Territory Police case management system PROMIS.
